While doing so, she received a message from an unknown number. It is only when she was about to open the text, the doorbell rang.

She kept her phone aside, stood up and went to open the door. She peeped through the peephole to see who was standing there. She could see no one standing out. She peeped as much as she could, yet again, she could see no soul.

She did not open the door and continued her peeping process till her eyes caught a red-colored pom-pom jumping like a jellybean. She smiled and opened the door letting the red pom-pom inside the house. As she opened the door, she got to hear the most satisfactory words of her life, “I’m back Mommy”.

Time To Share

Alexsa was known to be a perfect mother due to some reasons. She adhered to her parenting rules and used to talk to her children regularly. That day, as her kid came inside the house, he came directly to her and told where was he, with whom was he playing and the number of people he came in contact with.

Alexsa has always been an independent lady and she wanted to raise her children following the same norm. She strictly asked her kids not to have any personal conversation with any stranger. The child informed his mother that he encountered a strange man who was asking personal details of the kids playing in the park. He came to that child and asked about the child’s family. Since the kid was well trained, he told that he is not going to tell the man the address and asked other children too not to do so.

After hearing her son’s story, she asked him to do his homework and told him that she was leaving for the market. On reaching there, she got to know that the man her son was talking about was a thief and was caught by police. She felt relieved and headed back home.

Phone Beeped

While she was working in the kitchen, she again heard her phone beeping. She suddenly remembered that she received a text from an unknown number. She could not read it at that time hence, after doing all her work, she grabbed her phone and started scrolling the messages.

Familiar?

While scrolling, she encountered an unknown number. Though the number appeared for the very first time on her screen, she thought it to be familiar. She had seen that number before and somehow, that oddly familiar number that created an impact on her memory.

Text?

Sanchez took a lot of time to open the message. She felt a little nostalgic while typing the number again and again, but was not sure about the person who sent her the message. All she could do was read the message that was received. 

Catfight

As she read the text, she remembered the incident that took place two days before. She came into an argument with one of the women who was trying to break the queue while billing. Alexsa thought that the message could be sent by that lady so that she could take revenge on her.

The Word “Still”

Alexsa re-read the message and concluded that the sender knew her already. The word “still” clarified her doubts and made her curious to know who the sender was. She typed “um, yes… whose this?” so that she could get the desired response. 

No Clue

Alexsa was so impatient that she even tried to search the number through “Truecaller” but nothing was coming up. She typed that number again and again. While typing the number, an abstract thought of her teenage flashed in.

Flashback

She felt nostalgic while typing that number. She remembered her past when she used to bunk classes just to have a look at her love interest. Then they both used to go for a coffee, movie or read books together.

Made Her Learn

Alexsa recalled an incident when the former couple was relaxing in a park. The boy, while reading the book abruptly stood up and asked her whether she remembers his number or not. Alexsa did not remember the phone number hence, the boy made her learn that.

She could tell the owner of the number. She was utterly surprised to see that number on her phone screen. Her confused head could do nothing but wait for the next message. She wanted the owner of the number to reveal his identity himself.

Again the message tone played and Alexsa’s heart fluttered. She did not know how to react as she was facing this kind of scenario for the very first time. “Why is he texting me?” Is he planning to come back?” These types of questions were occupying her brain making her anxious.

She had no faint idea what his former lover was up to. It had been a decade since they last broke up and within that time, she managed to have a happy family. All of a sudden her past showed his presence. What could be more awkward than this?

Amidst her thoughts, once again her phone beeped. This time, the text she received shattered her all preconceived thoughts.  She got to know that the man was getting married and his fiancée is well aware of the fact that he texted his ex-girlfriend, which was somewhat hard to believe.

She could hardly believe that the fiancée was okay with the exchange of texts. She thought that this could be a trick that her ex-boyfriend was using to get her back. With the passing time, she could not make out what was happening with her. The only thing she knew was that she was already married.

Unexpected

She was adamant that she won’t be going back to him. No matter she shared several good memories with him, she can’t let her past affect her present. While she was reminding herself this, her phone again beeped and this time, what came through the text was beyond her expectations.

Alexsa read the text silently. She could hear her former love’s voice inside her head. With each line, her tears flowed like the water that has been captured inside a dam. She felt really special at that time. She could not describe her feelings so her tears decided to answer it all with the assistance of her smile.

She was mesmerized while reading the text. For her, this text came out of the blue and she got to know what position she used to hold in that man’s life. Alexsa did not hide the incident from her present husband. She was happy in knowing that her ex-boyfriend acknowledged her efforts and was thankful enough.

She thought that it would be better if she replies in front of everyone. She posted the story on social media. The response she gave was heartwarming.
