Although there may be a number of complications, pregnancy truly is a blessing from above. And it is a common practice for a heavily pregnant woman and husband to put up a photo shoot, commemorating the journey and birth of their young one. So like many other couples, this heavily pregnant woman and her hubby were enjoying their time at the beach. Her husband wanted to take a couple of photos of the pregnant wife. She was a fully blooming pregnant mother who was indeed beautiful and glorious. So it was necessary for him to take these priceless pictures. The two of them were not aware of how significant this day would be…
In Great Awe
It is never a dull day at the beach for anyone. You get to rejoice in the rays of sunshine and the play in the sand. But when they were setting up to click some photos of the wife, something unbelievable took place right before their eyes. As they looked towards the sea, the two of them were awestruck, unable to say a word. What was right behind the expecting mother was one that left the couple speechless.
The Priceless Maternity Photos
The father, whose name is Dan Mozer, was not a stranger to photography, although he was not a professional photographer. He was a very enthusiastic amateur photographer. Dan only wished to take a few beautiful shots of his pregnant, glowing wife named Angeline. Right behind her, was the most perfect setting for the beautiful wife to be framed in. What could be more perfect than the beach location?
A Little Difficulty
It was not a very easy task for the husband to take an ideal shot because of one thing. Things were a little tough due to the fact that Angeline was already in her third trimester. And we all know that being this pregnant, at this stage meant that Angeline would not be able to move so easily. This was something that the two of them would learn to be a hindrance in the photo shoot they had planned.
Thunder Adds Trouble
Since they had picked the beach to be the place where the maternity photo shoot would happen, they wanted to set a location first. Their first try took place all the way in the Atlantic Beach. The had heard of how beautiful the beach was there. But since they had not been there before, they were unaware of the weather patterns. When they got to the beach, a thunderstorm, unfortunately, welcomed the excited couple.
No Idea About The Future
And since we all know that a good photograph heavily depends on good lighting, a thunderstorm would definitely cause a major problem. After the storm did not clear up, Dan and Angeline decided to head back home. They made up their mind and agreed to go back to the beach some other time. They were not aware of what they were going to encounter in the future…
The Perfect Photoshoot
So after getting really excited to shoot the maternity photos, due to the relentless thunderstorm, the couple was forced to return home. If it hadn’t been for the storm, Angeline would have had a few gorgeous maternity photos by now, They had to learn a hard lesson of how difficult it is to get a nice photo. Angeline being in her third trimester was clearly nearing her labor day too.
What Lies Beneath?
So what Dan did was to start researching the weather patterns that encircled the Atlantic Beach, their ideal location. He discovered, after an extensive investigation online that their shoot would be perfect the next week. But this was not all that he managed to dig up about the Atlantic Beach area. Since it was a large water body, there were so many unknown mysteries underneath the water…
The Dangers
Since the couple was not from Jacksonville, Angeline and Dan were not aware of what the beach was all about. But as they soon came to know, there were a few conspicuous sea creature sightings in the recent past. There were two of these that greatly alarmed Dan. Atlantic Beach was a location where there were quite a number of sharks and stingrays.
Few Complications
And this was not all. There were some other instances that would indeed cause Dan and Angeline to be a little anxious about the location of their photo shoot. There had been reports of coast guardsmen of Atlantic Beach being encircled in their boat by a great white! Dan, however, thought this issue was not big of a deal to actually stop them from going there. But there were bay sharks there too.
The Second Try
Dan was way too determined to let the shark-infested sea keep them from their already planned photo session. He already had a vision and he had to find a way to make it come to life, to remember his wife in her glorious pregnant state. He wanted to finish the maternity shoo before it was too late. So, he and wife Angeline left on a sunny Saturday afternoon to go to the beach once more.
A Mistake?
When they reached the beach, the surf was prime, and the waves in the sea were in full force. Angeline did not think much of this and she entered the water without fear and without any second-guessing. When she actually went inside the water since was heavily pregnant and was in a sluggish condition, it proved to be a huge mistake.
Frantic Beach Goers
When she went wading in the water, Angeline did not expect to have an encounter with anything. She was ready to pose for her cheerful husband who patiently waited for her, camera in hand. But soon, from across the distance, a figure started to appear from the water. Some of the people at the beach tried to get a closer look. Some other got really scared and made their way out of the water.
Caught In The Middle
So the beach was in a chaotic state where there was a contrast of people who were intrigued by the ominous being, with some absolutely terrified of it. The beach was divided into some excitedly cheering while some ran for their lives. Dan was not sure which party to join. But Angeline was unfortunately caught in the midst of all this madness. She was pregnant and so she could barely make a move even if she wanted to.
Almost Escaping
It was a fortunate thing because Angeline was already on the shoreline right before disaster struck at the beach…But that did not mean that she could move freely in her state because of the sand on the beach. We all know how a simple task like jogging gets challenging on the beach. For a fully blown pregnant lady to try and escape in the soggy beach sand would be quite the task!
Still Lurking
But even though she found it extremely difficult to get away from the sea water, Angeline managed to escape before anything bad could happen to her. To see that his wife was away from trouble and in a safe place gave a big sigh of relief to Dan. The couple was still adamant on finishing with their shoot since it had taken them quite a lot of time. There was still something lurking in the sea…
Still Water Stirring
Dan was now super excited to finally be able to shoot his wife. He was in a “Snappy Happy” mood so the photo shoot was still a go. They had thought that they could move on and so the shoot, but little did they know that the worst was yet to come. He directed his wife to get close to the waterline once more since he wanted to shoot her as he had already envisioned. Would this become a threat to the pregnant lady?
Even More Closer
Even though the circumstance got a little tricky, the couple still went ahead with their shoot. Dan was not willing to let this chance go by anymore as they had already failed the first time around. Angeline went ahead and posed for the camera, Dan was quick to click, but found it lacking something. So they both moved closer to the water, without a clue that something big was about to take place.
The Creature And Pregnant Wife
So the couple who both wanted to have the perfect shot took advantage of the scenic beauty of the beach. But when they moved closer to the water to get some more shots, Dan was holding his camera to his eye, stunned in disbelief. There was a large ominous creature behind his wife and he was unsure what to do. And just then, the creature made a move towards his beloved wife…
Like A Bullet
The creature was coming in full speed towards the shore where Angeline was standing. Dan was instantly reminded of all the shark warnings that he had decided to dodge before they went to the beach again for the shoot. The dark creature was like a bullet in the water. So Dan watched the creature as it got, even more, closer to his pregnant wife. Then suddenly it came out of the water.
What Was It?
As Dan was just focusing on getting a magnificent shot of his pregnant wife, his attention was immediately drawn towards the sea creature who was obviously coming towards his wife. Then, when he least expected it, the creature arced out from the water to reveal what it was. Dan could barely believe what his eyes were seeing! He then tried hard to get a shot of what just came out from the water.
Finally Showing Itself
The creature that had finally decided to emerge from the water was, in fact, a dolphin! Since we all know that dolphins are quite agile and restless, it proved to be a challenge to get it in the frame using his camera. Dan, however, did not want to lost hope. The photo was going to prove to be priceless if he managed to click a nice one! The dolphin then disappeared, only to jump out one last time.
Capturing The Moment
So when he was losing all hopes of clicking the dolphin, Dan remembered a trick he could use. His camera had the “Burst” option for moments like this. He quickly changed the setting on his camera to this setting. This would help him capture three frames in quick succession with each click. This option helps a photographer to be able to capture fleeting moments.
A Sudden Burst
So when he realized that his camera had this setting, Dan hurried to change his camera to “Burst.” And the only thing that Dan could do now was to wait for the dolphin to make an appearance once more. The dolphin, if placed in the frame, would help to make the shot perfect! But there was no sign of any dolphin when the setting was changed. Then a sudden burst followed…
Once In A Life Time Shot
The dolphin made a sudden burst in the air and using the ‘Burst’ option, Dan was able to immortalize the scene. Angeline ended up being a tad bit too slow to take a glimpse at the sea creature. She did not see the amazing arch dive that the dolphin showcased at that moment. This was one of the drawbacks that the final trimester of pregnancy does to a woman.
Clicking Away
Even though Angeline was not able to see that dolphin do its trick, it did not end up in a total loss. Why? The moment was captured on film by his loving husband making it a priceless photo that could not be taken easily by any other photographer. Dan was eager to see what the ‘Burst’ feature had captured. So when Dan opened the image on his camera, his heart was delighted to see what he had captured.
Priceless Photograph
To say that the shot was absolutely perfect would be an understatement! Dan could not be happened to see how the image he captured turned out to look like. The final shot was one with the dolphin jumping in the mid-air with his dear wife perfectly posing on the side. Her belly faced the dolphin while the wind blew her cascading hair to make for a brilliant photograph.
Photos Going Viral
And since this was such a breathtaking photograph, it was clear that it would be well received by people who saw it too. When Dan posted the photos online, people really chimed in with happiness and awe of what the amateur photographer had taken. The incredible incident was celebrated by so many people. The image went viral and became a favorite of many all over the world. And the baby…?
The Baby?
So whatever happened to the baby that Angeline was carrying? Well, in a matter of just a few months, a healthy baby boy was welcomed by the couple. The Mozer couple was now known as the Mozer trio. Little Courtland Thomas Mozer was born and he is a beautiful, healthy, blue-eyed baby. But even this baby had a surprising secret that no one expected him to have.
An Epic Photobomb
And when little Courtland was born, his mother and father had a nickname ready for him. He was dubbed “Aquaman.” This was a name given to the boy obviously because of the photoshoot that took place when his mom carried him, in her third trimester. Why did the dolphin decide to bless the Mozers with that photo no one knows. This became one of the most talked about photobombs ever!

I felt beautiful,” she revealed, “To get the flying dress, my sister threw the material up and quickly got out the way. There may have been a little photoshopping too!”

Check this belly art that Corrina McLean did when she was 34-weeks pregnant. “I had been following her work online for a while and knew it was something I always wanted to do,” she stated. “For my first baby we didn’t know the sex but for my second baby, we did. Kerriann came up with the designs each time. Each piece took around four-to-six hours to complete and I was sitting down during the process, with frequent breaks of course! Getting your belly painted feels amazing, I even fell asleep a couple of times!”

Courtney Trotter made use of such a backdrop for her maternity photo shoot. “We just love the country lifestyle and wanted our photos to reflect this. We lined up boots to represent each of our current family members and my husband and I stood in the background,” she confessed.

At a glance, this seems like a reflection but if you take a closer look, they are two shots joined together. One is of Kirsty pregnant while the other is one of her, carrying her child on her belly. “I was 34-weeks pregnant with my second baby and the mirror image with my daughter on my tummy was at her newborn shoot around 10-days-old,” she added, “It wasn’t a difficult pose, just a tad challenging with her as she was awake at that point in the shoot. I love how simple it is with the black background though so I’m glad we went that way.”
