It is the internet age and we witness every other human falling in love over the web. This is something really common these days. We have a lot of websites promising you to help out in finding your soulmate and what not.

But, this is a story of a couple who found the love of their lives over the mass media and internet played a major role in their lives.

It was very common for people to upload their pictures over the web and receiving likes and appreciation for the same. But when this couple did something similar, they were left confused. Why?

The Strange Following

This couple from California has gained much media attention and for some surprising reasons. Just like every other couple of today’s era, they too uploaded their pictures together over the social media. They have been doing it for a long. They were admired by many other young couples and the appreciation they got for the same, further encouraged them. People would comment about this couple’s eternal love, their compatibility and how good they look together. The couple would be overjoyed to receive such applause.

Knowing that they were quite known and encouraged, the couple got used to their pictures getting a lot of attention. But one day something strange happens. Once they uploaded a picture which gained worldwide attention. Not only did the followers like it but the various media houses and publications also were attracted towards it. It was not the first time that this couple uploaded their picture on social media. Then what was that special in this picture?

The couple was astonished to see that their picture is breaking the records. They really could not understand why? It was just another picture for them and it wasn’t anything extraordinary. The popular couple, Wendy Joseph and Dan Hennessey were not always this popular. Looking back they realize that their story dates back to the times when social media wasn’t such a big world either. Facebook was very young then and only teenagers and college students used it to find their friends and at times a date. Dan was attracted towards the website, something compatible of his nature.

Dan surfed the Facebook website to meet new people and expand his friend circle. He would go through various profiles and search for people from different regions. While going through some of his friends profile one day, Dan came across the bio of a girl named Daphne. They both had mutual friends. Because of this common friend circle amongst them, he sent her a message. Daphne was confused to receive one from him and did not revert. While going even more into the details of Daphne’s profile, Dan came across someone beautiful.

Wendy’s Profile

Dan came across one of Daphne’s Friend named Wendy Joseph. Wendy was one of the rarest ones who was effortlessly beautiful and shined in her skin. Dan went through all her pictures and was smitten at them. Dan could not resist himself from knowing more about the girl and decides to message her as well. At that time Wendy was careful about strangers on the new website and she too did not reply back to Dan. Rather she discussed the incident with Daphne.

Pertaining to the norms of friendship, Daphne informs Wendy that Dan had sent her a message as well. This made Wendy even surer to not message Dan back. Surprisingly, Dan messages Wendy again after a few weeks. This time  Wendy became intrigued and went through Dan’s profile and realized that he knew some of her high school friends. Wendy, at last, replied to Dan and a new friendship bloomed. What happens next was something crazy.

Dan wished to meet Wendy in real life and invited her to a party at his place. Though there was no party actually, Dan was sure that Wendy would not accept the invite. Interestingly, Wendy accepted the invite and Dan had to arrange a party overnight. At the party, they both connected well together. They partied, danced and had an engaging chit-chat session. They shared a great chemistry and this friendship developed into something even romantic.

Dating

Initially, both Wendy and Dan were not ready for a relationship. Wendy just got out of a long-term relationship and Dan was enjoying his college and partying lifestyle, thus, they both sought to be just friends. Wendy uploaded this picture on her 10th Anniversary. She uploaded this side-by-side picture of Dan and hers on the Instagram page. She mentions that the picture on the left was one from the initial days of their dating and the one on the right was their current photo. Though it was a very normal photo, it hit over 60,00 likes in an instant. It was ok until now, but soon media covers like The Independent, The Daily Mail, and The Sun, made it a cover story. The couple could not understand why did this picture, in particular, got this popular.

Aging In Reverse

The audience lost the cool to realize that this couple has been aging in reverse. Universally, everyone grows older but this couple seems to grow younger. Followers were amazed to see their transformation. Over these 10 years, the couple has worked upon themselves to an unimaginable extent. One of the followers even commented, “Do you both age in reverse?” While another one asked, “What fountain of youth are you drinking from?” Surely they have had an incredible transformation journey.

The Different Looks

Other than fitness, the couple’s physical appearances also changed a lot. Wendy used to have straight hair before while Dan had a clean shaved look. Wendy discarded the use of chemical hair straighteners from the year 2012 and opted for her naturally curled hair looks. While Dan began keeping his shave overgrown. He would trim it once a week now. There would also be months when he did not shave and trim his beard at all.

The major focus in their pictures has been their confidence. This confidence has arrived from their ageless beauty on which they have worked hard. They were not always like this. Looking at the popularity of Wendy’s YouTube channel, the couple decided to bring in an all-new app which would primarily concern about fitness. There would be workout routines, recommendations about the particular type of exercises, some healthy diet tips. They wanted to generate awareness about health and fitness. Dan and Wendy launched a new app named “True4You Fitness”. It is a  fitness coaching company that gives exercise and nutrition advice to their clients. Their prime objective was to reach out to millions of people and help them out with the so-called “not-possible” fitness regime. People already knew the couple and were amazed at their transformational journey, thus they blindly followed this new venture.

In the year 2017, the couple participated in a show conducted by Huffington Post. They were the interviewee for the segment which talked about Interracial couples. They were asked, “10 Things Interracial Couples Wish You’d Stop Asking Them.” In the same interview, the couple opened up about the difficulties they face for just being different colored skin.

Getting Ugly Stares

Being famous and being interracial never goes hand-in-hand. It becomes really challenging to face media and answer their questions on the choices you made. Wendy and Dan often had to face uncomfortable situations where people would pass them ugly stares. But they had always bravely answered the questions people threw at them. His account has attracted much attention due to his beard, which Dan claims to have changed his life for better.

A Life Of Magic

Wendy and Dan are a young couple who enjoys traveling. After their vacation to Paris and engagement, they realized that they have a lot more to explore. They saved enough money to spend months traveling abroad. They have been to Panama, Costa Rica, Thailand, and Columbia. After returning to the U.S., they went clubbing in Las Vegas and now are planning their fairytale wedding.
