TWO HIKERS DECIDE TO HELP THE COUPLE IN LOCATING THEIR PUP WHICH WENT MISSING WHILE HIKING IN THE MOUNT BROSS

 

Owning a pet is a beautiful feeling. Those paws, that wagging tail, that soft fur, and the glooming eyes, everything is just for you. Anyone of you who have ever loved a pet knows how much of your heart do these little creatures occupy. Your day starts with their cute pet licks while your day ends cuddling them.

While Larry Osborne and Anouk Patel loved their Labra-Pitbull mix pooch, Chloe with all their heart, their heart sank when their beloved doggo went missing after they went for a stroll in the mountain Mount Bross. The reunion with their pooch seemed impossible and locating him over the mountains was a challenge. With every passing day, they would gasp at their loss when something even unexpected happened…

Heart-Breaking

Has your pooch or for that matter, any pet that you own went missing? If not, then you are really lucky and blessed because you were saved from the trauma and pain that comes along when your dear friend is lost. When Chloe went missing, Larry and Anouk had shivers and sleepless nights. They just prayed to have him back which was no less than a miracle to happen.

Meet Chloe

Chloe was a 13-year-old labra mix. When he was about 3 years old, Larry brought him home and since then they have been a happy family together. To Chloe, they were all he wanted. He was a cheerful pooch always by his parents’ side. So when he went missing, Larry never expected that he wouldn’t return.

Quite Often

Larry and Alouk own a Saloon in Colorado, the South Park Saloon from Alma. They loved interacting with their customers and even Chloe along with their son loved greeting every new person who visited them. The family had this weekend ritual that they would go and explore nearby places especially mountain hiking in various mountain ranges.

Desperate Call

The family on one weekend again planned a hiking trip in Mount Bross range as usual. They carried their backpacks and were excited to explore this new space. Unfortunately, the much-awaited walk into the wild woods turned out to be the one where they just desperately called out their beloved pooch’s name…

Fading Beauty

It was pleasant weather for hiking. The sun was peeking through the light clouds and a fine breeze blew. It was the month of August and the couple with their son and dog were heading towards the Rocky Mountain when this saddening incident took place.

Sudden Disappearance

Chloe was with their son all the while when they were heading towards the steep slopes and higher at the mountain. Their son recalls that the duo was running and when he turned back to see where was Chloe, he was shocked as the pooch suddenly disappeared. This was really strange, but what conclusively happened was worst…

Went Missing

Chloe was just following their son, and as they were to reach the top of 14,000 ft high peak, the boy realized that the pooch wasn’t there. Did he lose the track or what? None could understand. The family was clueless and in worry was just shouting, “Chloe, Chloe- where are you baby?”

Searching The Woods

Larry, Alouk and their son all went in different directions to look out for the missing pooch. The climb up the hill was tough and rough and they were hoping the pooch might not have injured himself up. They went back the same path they climbed up hoping to find Chloe. Little did they know it wasn’t an easy find.

Hopeless

The sun was about to set but there were no traces of Chloe nearby. The family tried their best to reunite with the pooch but it seemed impossible now. As it grew dark, their hopes of finding Chloe too darkened. They stayed at the mountain peak that night all hopeless, just praying that the next morning sun will bring some fortune…

Return

As the sun rose, the family once again gathered their hopes and began looking for the pooch. Unfortunately, that day also even after searching for hours they couldn’t find him. They decided to call it a day and return home with depressed faces. They knew they had to find some other ways of locating their dog.

Weeping

As the family made their way to the home, everything reminded them of Chloe. His kennel which was filled with the noises he would make, the chair where he and Alouk would sit. All these thoughts killed them from the inside. They were deeply saddened and weeping over the loss. Neither of them could bear the pain caused by separation from Chloe. They knew they needed to do something soon.

Social Media For Help

The very first thought which came to the family was to seek social media for help. It was the internet era and the most viable option in the current scenario. They decided to draft a facebook post and just wished that someone somewhere would help them in finding their pooch. Would this work?

Missing Chloe

The couple posted this on their respective social media accounts. They even pleaded their friends to share this post as much as possible and even help in locating them. As days passed on, not many people reverted to this post and now family’s worst fears were setting in.

Poor Baby

Larry and Alouk were extremely worried now. They were scared about the well-being of the pooch. The mountains had a harsh environment, there were steep slopes and no traces of life till long stretches. How would the pooch survive without food and water there? Was he struggling with life or had already given up?

Tears In Eyes

Back home, the family was disturbed. With no response to their post for nearly six weeks, they were now getting sure that they have lost their dear friend for life. They were mourning over the loss and had tears in the eyes. Even with a heavy heart, they couldn’t move on in life. And then another couple turns up…

Hikers

Another couple who enjoyed hiking named, Trinity Smith and her boyfriend, Sean Nichols came across this post. They could empathize with the family and lost a dog. They felt for the poor soul who went missing and what they did next was something not usually people do…

Let’s Go

Smith and Sean couldn’t hold back from saving a life in need. They jump into their hiking boots and with backpacks ready on their back hiked to Mount Bross situated in Pike National Forest. Little did they know what all was coming along.

Maybe

What prompted this couple to go on this adventure was, on the same post an individual commented that he heard a dog’s cry when he went hiking in the mountains, but couldn’t find any. Smith wanted to give it another try.

A Try

The couple took things in their hand and informed Larry and Alouk about the same. Though all of them were hopeless that they would be able to find the dog, there nothing wrong in trying their best. For days, Trinity and Sean searched for the pooch but didn’t find him and decided to tell the bad news to the family and just then…

In The Lower Belt

When the couple was about to give up they heard a slight cry that was somewhere coming from the lower belt. Though they were glad to hear one, but they weren’t sure if it was Chloe or any other stray dog. They couldn’t believe what they saw next.

The Pooch

Sean followed the noise coming from behind the rock. It was one of those big rocks which could literally hide an entire vehicle behind it. And there it was. The missing dog. Sean recalls how scared the little creature was. He was shivering and could barely walk. He looked almost unrecognizable.

Unbelievable Discovery

Sean and Trinity could not express their happiness on locating this missing pooch. Even on the dog’s face, one could clearly see the fear of being separated from his loving family. However, the dog was in terrible condition.

Sharing Over Web

The couple shared their remarkable find over the web and informed all the people worried about the pooch’s sudden disappearance. They immediately informed Larry and Alouk and told them that they were bringing him home.

Needed Care

The dog needed immediate care and help. He was once 90lbs and now would weigh barely 26lbs. Lost in the woods, it was evident that he had barely managed to survive for six weeks almost empty stomach. Luckily, Trinity and Sean found him else it would have been worse. The pooch was taken to the vet.

Happy Faces

The moment Larry and Alouk saw Chloe, their happiness was over the moon. They had tears in their eyes but this time they were out of joy, the joy of reuniting with their family member they thought they had lost forever. However, without wasting much time the couple rushed him to the nearby vet.

Intense Care

When Chloe was taken for medical help, the vet was also surprised that the dog managed to survive for food and water for this long. He even said that now this pooch needed intense care and nourishment in order to get back to his ideal body weight.

Under Observation

Chloe was kept under observation as his was a severe case of malnourishment. Moreover, he had suffered a few injuries probably in an attempt to return to his home after being lost in the mountains. Larry and Alouk now just prayed for his speedy recovery.

Slow And Steady

With time, Chloe was making progress. More than the medicines it was Larry and Alouk’s presence near him which made all the difference. Knowing that he has his family by his side helped him recover fast. And soon only he was discharged from the clinic.

Back To Basics

As Chloe returned home, his health showed tremendous progress. He would now again run around the entire house barking. He along with Larry and Alouk would again go back for walks to the woods, but this time decided to stay just with them and not run far. Larry and Alouk were grateful to Trinity and Sean…
